30x12x6 Day 1

Woke up at 5 AM today. Can't deny that I snoozed a bit. But considering how much I have been trying to wake up early for the past weeks, I'm very pleased.

Got up real early to start on X content scheduling. I never had the social media bug in me, so this is a whole new world for me. All I know is to keep interacting, give value to others!

After that, it was pretty much focusing on "VectorBrain". I'm still not very convinced on the name itself, but it definitely works for an starter project name.

I'll share more about this project idea along with my application to Iterative in a separate post.

I was doing some research on vector database to get the ball running. I really wanted to go with turbopuffer for it's scalability and cost efficiency, but I just can't justify it yet. Considering the cost-saving approach that I'm going to take, I chose Weaviate instead. It's open source, great for hybrid searches and supports all type of embeddings which is perfect. 

Anthropic shared a really good article on "Introducing Contextual Retrieval" which I learnt a lot from. For my embeddings, I decided to go with the voyager AI embedding models instead.

So at least that's some learnings to share. I see a lot of potential for this idea and I think that I do a lot more sharing via X posts and blog posts once I get the website up. I'm really inspired from other X creators, and how they share their knowledge as they grow. I plan to do the same. Unfortunately, I still have quite a bit of work to deliver for my job for today, can't wait to be full-time on this.

It's 7:28 PM now, been a very long day. I'm going to head to Crossfit now. I will end off the day tonight with the plans for tomorrow.
